Vocal Music
Treble Choir: All freshman girls. Introductory curriculum focusing on interpreting and applying notation into correct sight-singing in major & minor keys, as well as the fundamentals of proper vocal technique.
Bass Ensemble: All grades of boys. Introductory curriculum focusing on interpreting and applying notation into correct sight-singing in major & minor keys, as well as the fundamentals of proper vocal technique. Bass Ensemble is often combined with Concert Choir.
Concert Choir: Sophomore-Senior girls. Introductory curriculum focusing on interpreting and applying notation into correct sight-singing in major & minor keys, as well as the fundamentals of proper vocal technique. Concert Choir is often combined with Bass Ensemble.
Women's Choir: Sophomore - Senior girls, by audition only. Intermediate curriculum focusing on increasing difficulty level of sight reading and singing technique.
A Cappella Choir: Sophomore - Senior, by audition only. Advanced curriculum focusing on the most challenging repertoire and a deeper understanding of the choral art, composers, conductors, and genres.

Music Theory
Music Theory addresses the technical structure of music, including advanced concepts in melody, harmony, rhythm, and music history. The basic Music Theory course would work well for students without extensive music experience, or who have completed School of Rock 1. It is recommended that any student signing up for Music Theory AP has at least some previous music education (band, choir, piano lessons, etc). If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Barsch, Mr. Rexroat, or Mrs. O'Neill.
