On Monday evening, the sd308 Board of Education approved OEHS's new choir director! She has been working diligently since getting hired, but we can now happily introduce her.
Chelsea Rhoades received her degree in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis from Millikin University in May of 2014. She is extremely excited to be back at Oswego East High School after student teaching here in the spring of 2014. She served for one year as the Associate Choir Director at Yorkville High School. She has prior experience teaching choir, guitar and piano. She also has performed extensively in high school, college, toured the Baltic countries with the Millikin University Choir, sang with the Fox Valley Orchestra Choir, and is a new member of the Saint Charles Singers.
Chelsea is thrilled to be a part of the Oswego East Staff. She teaches Treble Choir, Bass Ensemble, Concert Choir, Women's Choir, A Cappella Choir, Spotlight: Silver, Voice Activated: Silver, and AP Music Theory.
Welcome Ms. Rhoades!
